Tell us about yourself.
My name is Marchelle. I am a Stylist, Salon Owner, and fitness enthusiast in sunny San Diego. I specialize in hair extensions for the client with thin hair. Most of my clients wearing extensions lead a rather active lifestyle and need their hair to be very versatile and strong.
What has been your biggest challenge as a stylist?
My biggest challenge as a stylist has been the gap in education. Our clients are educating themselves on YouTube, and many of the stylists in our industry don’t continue their learning after cosmetology school. There is so much misinformation out there that I am constantly seeking deeper knowledge in everything I do and offer my guests.
How have your clients benefited from hair extensions?
My clients benefit from hair extensions in many ways. Recently one of my fine hair clients who is wearing a full set of extensions reported that her confidence with her hair is at an all time high. Before extensions, she would have to wash and style daily. Now, with extensions, she will style her hair and just refresh in the morning for up to four days without it looking flat, oily, or deflated. The biggest benefit she has found is that people finally compliment her hair, rarely knowing that she is even wearing extensions.
How have hair extensions impacted your life?
Hair extensions have given me an opportunity to fulfill the dreams of my clients who never would have thought they could have thicker, fuller, more vibrant hair. Some of my clients are recovering from life-threatening illnesses that in many cases would have left their hair limp and fine for the rest of their life. With the right extensions, you can remedy all of this and get them back to feeling their best.
What is your favorite brand of hair extensions and why?
After working with many methods and brands, I now exclusively use easihair pro. In my salon, I value quality control, customer service, and education. easihair pro has continually proven to me over the past eight years that they are committed to these values as well. They will never compromise service and quality control just to make a sale.
