We’ve all been there. Your hair is at an awkward length and you either have to wait it out or get another haircut and be forced with the same dilemma in three months. Beginning your hair growth journey can be quite the mission, but we’re here to help! Whatever reason you’re wanting to grow your hair, we have some tips and tricks to make sure it’s done the right way:
1. Cut off the Dead Ends
We know this sounds super counteractive but the secret to growing out your hair is to get regular trims. By cutting off the end ends, you’re allowing your hair to stay healthy and continue to grow. If you have a lot of split ends, they will start to travel up and cause breakage. Also, when you cut off the dead ends, it will make your hair look fuller!
2. Use Heat Protectant
In an ideal world, you wouldn’t use any heat tools on your hair at all! But being realistic, we know that sometimes that’s just not possible. The best and most important thing you can do for your hair is to use a heat protectant and make sure your hot tools aren’t turned up too high and burning your hair.
3. Sleep On A Silk Pillowcase
Sleeping on a silk pillowcase isn’t only good for your face but it’s amazing for your hair! This pillowcase will create less friction and fewer tangles so you don’t have to brush out any knots in the morning.
4. Hair Masks Are Your Friend
Hair masks are AMAZING! If you haven’t tried one yet you are seriously missing out. Hair masks allow you to repair your hair and deep condition it while virtual doing nothing.
5. Cold Water Rinse
When you wash your hair, end with a cold water rinse. This trick helps keep the outer layer of your hair smooth and protects against heat damage. By doing the cold water rinse your hair will be strong and grow faster.
6. Take Hair Supplements
When taking hair supplements, it’s super important that you take the right ones! That’s why we investigated hair supplements for you!
7. Hair Extensions
Hair extensions are a great way to add volume and length to your hair. They will also protect your hair from getting damaged if done the right way. To find the right hair extensions for you, visit our Hair Extension Guide and For Clients page.
