Who can blame companies for taking advantage of an ingredient that is known to improve circulation, add shine, and condition the hair! It is also anti-fungal and antibacterial. People have been using it for centuries, should you add it to your beauty routine?
What is castor oil?
Castor oil comes from the seeds of the castor bean plant. It’s high in ricinoleic, a fatty acid, and regenerates lipid called prostaglandin, which helps hair grow. It is also a known healer. Another oil that it is being compared to is coconut oil. The different is coconut oil is high in caprylic and lauric acids, which is perfect for daily use but does not have the same healing properties.
Who should use castor oil?
Anyone! It is great for people for people experiencing thinning hair and alopecia. You can also use it to help with constipation, heal skin infections and chapped lips.
