Tell us about yourself.
My name is Jessica Evans, and I have been a stylist for over ten years. In the beginning of my career, I never even thought about offering hair extensions as a service to my clients, since they were typically only used for length. Now that I understand the impact extensions can have, whether for length, volume, or color, I have truly found my passion.
What has been your biggest challenge as a stylist?
My biggest challenge as a stylist has been finding a one-size fits all hair extension brand. It would be so easy if one hair extension method worked for all clients. A girl can dream, right?
What was the biggest turning point in your career?
The biggest turning point in my career was realizing that hair extensions were my calling. Although I loved providing my clients other services, nothing compares to the look on a client’s face when they have a new set of extensions!
How have your clients benefited from hair extensions?
The biggest way my clients have benefited from hair extensions that I have noticed is their new found confidence. When my clients leave my chair, they’re ready to hit the town, even though it might only be a Tuesday.
How have hair extensions impacted your life?
Hair extensions have allowed me to feel like I can truly change people’s lives and have a positive impact on my client’s self-esteem. I don’t even view my work as a job anymore. I love what I do and can’t imagine my life without my clients and hair extensions!
What is your favorite brand of hair extensions and why?
Like I said before, there isn’t a hair extension method that works for everyone. But if I had to choose, my favorite would be tape in hair extensions by Babe! They offer a wide variety of colors, and their hair quality is fantastic!
