Coachella may be over, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t plenty more festivals coming up. Braids are a perfect hairstyle choice, especially with summer right around the corner. Check out this Kylie Jenner inspired festival ombré braids using hair chalk that works for either blonde or darker hair.
Get the Look: Ombré Festival Braids
Things you need:
- Two small elastics
- Brush
- Sectioning comb
- Hair chalk (Try this one here)
Tips on how to get the look:
- Use as many colors of hair chalk as you want, but use at least two to create an ombré effect.
- Take your time to blend the colors as much as possible.
- The more blended, the more natural the hairstyle will look.
Step-by-step instructions:
#1 Brush hair thoroughly to get rid of any tangles.
#2 Part hair down the middle using a sectioning comb.
#3 Dutch braid your hair on both sides.
#4 Secure braids with an elastic.
#5 Apply hair chalk to with a tapping motion.
#6 Apply the first color all over near the top of your head.
#7 Apply the second color near the bottom of the braids, blending it with the first color.
#8 Dust the ends of your hair in the chalk.
#9 Blend and add more product for a more vibrant look.
