Summer is almost over but that doesn’t mean you have to give up beach waves. Beach waves are a timeless hairstyle that you can maintain all year long and you don’t have to be on vacation to get them. Here are some expert tips on how to keep your beach waves all year long:
Use The Right Products
Using the right products from prep to finish is extremely important when creating beach waves. Your hair needs products to create and hold the curl. We recommend prepping with mousse when your hair is damp. Make sure your mousse isn’t too sticky as it will create a crunchy look. Add in texture by using a salt spray and then drying it gently making sure you don’t scrunch your hair. When creating beach waves, we recommend air drying your hair so it will achieve a rough texture making it easier to hold a curl.
Curl Your Hair
When you’re going for a beachy look, it’s important to make sure your curls aren’t uniform. Curl your hair is different directions to create an effortless look. You can also soften the curls by leaving the ends straight. Another tip that we love is to use a straightener to create curls. This will make all of the curls look different.
Dry Your Hair in Buns
If you’re not a huge fan of heat tools, you can put damp hair in buns (or braids!) and set to dry. Divide damp hair into sections and twist into buns. The buns will give your hair different curls. Also, putting your hair in buns will protect your hair from heat damage and save you time!
